1. Which restorative materials may be polished with OptraFine?
   
OptraFine has been specifically developed for ceramic materials and may be used for all materials
    in this category. (top of page)

2. How long do restorations have to be polished with OptraFine?
   
Depending on the type of surface, twenty to thirty seconds per working step are usually sufficient.
    The visual appearance clearly shows when this point has been reached, as the corresponding luster
    is achieved.(top of page)

3. Can OptraFine be autoclaved?
   
Yes, the OptraFine polishers can be autoclaved without difficulty. (top of page)

4. Is preliminary cleaning of OptraFine in cleaning solutions possible?
   
Yes, but for maximum 1 hour and only in instrument cleaning baths, not in bur baths. (top of page)

5. Can OptraFine be used in conjunction with a polishing paste?
   
The diamond polishing paste that forms part of the system is only used in the final third polishing step.
    For the first two polishing steps, no polishing paste is required. (top of page)

6. Can excess material be removed with OptraFine?
   
No, OptraFine is exclusively suitable for polishing restorations. (top of page)

7. Is the use of water spray required?
    Yes, to avoid overheating, water cooling has to be provided during the first two polishing steps,
    while the final third working step can be conducted without water cooling. (top of page)

8. At what speed is OptraFine operated?
   
With OptraFine, an optimum polishing effect is achieved between 10,000 and 15,000 rpm. (top of page)

9. How often can OptraFine be used?
   
Depending on the shape and restorative material used, OptraFine polishers may be reused
    up to 10 times. (top of page)

10. Which shapes are available?
     
There are three shapes: “flame”, “cup” and “disc”.
